Environmental STEM Educators Awarded $250,000 by Pratt & Whitney and NAAEE
Fifteen nonprofit organizations in 12 countries have won grants totaling $250,000 through the Pratt & Whitney E-STEM Awards. Each organization demonstrated a remarkable commitment to advancing education programs focused on building science, technology, engineering, and math skills through environmental problem-solving (E-STEM) for students ages 11–22.

Learn how gardeners of all ages can support local wildlife and biodiversity in their communities in “Gardener to Guardian”; how a façade engineer is turning walls into sprawling pastures of native plants in London in “Vertical Meadows”; and how a wildlife biologist is working to save two uniquely American reptiles, the eastern indigo snake and the gopher tortoise, and the forest they call home in “The Serpent’s Lair.” This series is produced by HHMI Tangled Bank Studios.
