2024 Natural Start Alliance In-Person Conference Portland

Welcome!

We’re excited to have you join us! Your conference registration ($395 early bird rate through June 15, $435 regular rate, after June 15) includes the opening welcome on Wednesday evening July 31, and concurrent sessions on Thursday and Friday, August 1-2. A reception is included on Wednesday and lunches are included on Thursday and Friday.

Optional add-on workshops and meetings are available on Wednesday, July 31. Optional Site Tours are available on Saturday, August 3rd.

Your registration for the in-person conference also includes year-long access to the 2024 online conference, with over fifty on-demand conference sessions, and professional development certificates for every session you attend.

Conference sponsors help reduce the cost of the conference for attendees, and they receive attendees’ e-mail addresses as part of their sponsorship.

Refund Policy:
Conference registration and field trip fee refunds are determined by the date of cancellation. Cancellations made on or before June 30, 2024, will receive a 90% refund. Cancellations made on or before July 12, 2024, will receive a 50% refund. Refunds are not available after July 12, 2024. Please note that we must reach minimum attendance to run each optional add-on event; a refund for the cost of the event will be given if we are forced to cancel. Refunds issued by credit card will be processed immediately, refunds issued by check will be processed after the event.

Liability Waiver:
In submitting your conference registration, you confirm that you will participate in all of the Natural Start Conference activities at your own risk. Accordingly, you agree to hold Natural Start Alliance and its parent organization, the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE), its board, staff, contractors, and agents harmless against all injury that you might suffer at any time during this conference.

Photography/Video Agreement:
In submitting your conference registration and attending the Natural Start Conference, you understand photographs and video may be taken during the conference in which you may be included, and you agree and understand that these images may be used by Natural Start/NAAEE for promotional purposes in print, video, and on the Internet.

User-Generated Content:
Some areas of the conference platform allow you to provide content (in chat areas, forums, associated social media pages, etc.) By posting, uploading, publishing, distributing, or transmitting information such as photos, videos, reviews, messages, content, or other personal information (collectively, “User-Generated Content”) on the conference platform or other Natural Start/NAAEE-sponsored forums, blogs, or other communities, you represent and warrant that you are the sole author and owner of such content, and you further represent and warrant that you have permission from anyone included in any photos or videos, or if a child, you have permission from the child’s parent or guardian.

Your User-Generated Content must not be defamatory, slanderous, indecent, obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit or be used for commercial gain. Natural Start/NAAEE has the right but not the obligation, in its sole discretion, to remove, reject, refuse to post, modify or edit User Generated Content, but does not regularly review User Generated Content. Natural Start/NAAEE takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any User-Generated Content.
