Congratulations to the 2024 Youth Innovation Challenge (YIC) Winners!

Young people ages 15–30 around the world were asked to provide innovative solutions to pressing environmental issues affecting our marine ecosystems, and the Ocean Conservation Administration (OCA) and NAAEE are excited to announce and congratulate the challenge winners and finalists. Three young teams from Indonesia, Mexico, and Mauritius are this year’s winners, with each receiving a $1,000 USD award.

Through a CEE-Change Fellowship Community Action Project, Gitanjali Paul helps educators integrate climate education and action into their work using systems thinking to navigate complex issues and identify opportunities for systems change. Gitanjali will be teaching these techniques in her NAAEE 2024 pre-conference workshop in November.
